Inspire. Energize. Mobilize.
The inaugural Arizona Summit on Volunteerism and Service-Learning provides an opportunity for volunteer and service-learning leaders to advance and strengthen their skills and knowledge. The inaugural Arizona Summit on Volunteerism and Service-Learning will also provide the platform to launch a volunteerism initiative for the Arizona Centennial.
This unparalleled summit provides training and professional development opportunities for those working in the field of volunteerism and service-learning through inspiring plenary sessions, interactive workshops, issues based forums, exhibits, networking, specialized tracks and more. Attendees will learn how to “Inspire. Energize. Mobilize,” to better serve important needs in Arizona.
Request for Proposals
We seek proposals that will engage volunteer, public and charter school, youth group, government agency, community and faith-based group, service club, corporation and business leaders in preparing for a new age of volunteerism and service-learning in our communities. With “Inspire. Energize. Mobilize,” as the theme for this summit, we wish to also explore ways to encourage volunteer and service-learning leaders to think in broad terms that intentionally include Arizona citizens of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
Type of Program Formats:

We seek workshops at the novice, intermediate, and advanced levels. As a workshop presenter keep in mind the diversity of the expected participants and provide presentations that speak to a particular volunteerism or service-learning sector or to all. Presentations are to be in a workshop format that is presented in a hands-on interactive style.
Criteria for Selection:
Workshops will be selected that effectively address the summit theme and volunteerism and/or service-learning which are clear, original, and have practical application. Presenters are asked to provide interactive hands-on activities that will engage the audience as much as possible. Applications and all presentation materials must be submitted electronically to the Summit Steering Committee contact, Ashley Miles at www.azsummit.org. All materials accepted for the summit will be posted on the summit website and be made available to all summit participants. See Submission Guidelines for more information.
Selection Process:
